  • Business Insurance magazine serves executives who are responsible for the purchase and administration of corporate insurance/self-insurance programs, encompassing both property and liability insurance and employee benefit programs, including life, health and pensions.   • TheConference Board of Canada's e-Library contains research reports, Conference e-Proceedings, and webinars on a wide range of economic and management topics including enterprise risk management.  Some of the materials are available for free, others must be purchased. Click here to sign up for the e-Library at no cost. 

  •  Global Risks 2012 is a Global Risk Networkreport published by the World Economic Forum.   • Marilyn McHarg, Executive Director of Médecins San Frontières Canada, shares her insights on disaster preparedness and risk management illustrated by her organization's response to the earth quake that shook Haiti in January 2010.   • The United Kingdom’s National Audit Office has a wide range of articles, reports, and guidance documents on risk. Click here to view the list of risk management publications.

  • In 2006, the United States Department of Management and Budget published "Performance Accountability: The Five Building Blocks and Six Essential Practices". Although intended for government, the document is a useful reference and practice guide for any organization. It includes many mini-case studies to illustrate the guidance it provides and also links them to references to business management literature. Click here to view and download the report.

  • Comcover is the Australian Government's general insurance fund. Comcover’s annual Awards for Excellence recognise Australian Government agencies that achieve excellence in risk management practice. Click here to view the case studies of risk management implementation that are documented in the nomination documents submitted since 2003.
  • In 2006 HM Government in the United Kingdom published Risk – Good Practice in Government. This document contains 23 case studies of best practices in risk management based on the experience of central government in the United Kingdom. Click here to view and download the document in PDF format.
